The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes boasts some of Sherlock Holmes's finest adventures-this classic 1894 collection includes eleven of his rnost popular tales, such as "Silver Blaze," concerning the original "curious incident of the dog in the night-time"; "The Greek Interpreter," starring Holmes's even more formidable brother, Mycroft; and "The Final Problem," the detective's notorious confrontation with arch-criminal Moriarty.
The stories in The Return of Sherlock Holmes (published in The Strand Magazine from October 1903 through December 1904), present Holmes reappearing after a seemingly fatal encounter with Moriarty to investigate more mysteries in "The Dancing Men," involving a series of cryptic threats; "The Six Napoleons," concerning stolen jewels and images of the French emperor; "The Norwood Builder," a murderous attempt at revenge; "The Missing Three Quarter," in which a rugby player disappears before a crucial match; and other classic tales.
